So far so good, nothing to complain
This is a good idea but I don't feel like it was fully executed. What's lacking for me is lack of ability to be able to manage the bundles via the API. Without that key ability, this product is useless for anyone that doesn't rely on the Shopify UI or has a flow that's outside of Shopify's Admin console.
The other key feature that this app is lacking is the ability to create bundles on the variant level. It only supports creating bundles on the Product level.
Edit: After a lot of painstaking research and documentation diving, I figured out how to control the bundle from Shopify's GraphQL; which is quite a complex undertaking in my opinion.
Working as it's intended. Bundle up to 3 options, 100 variants etc, the stock is deducted from the solo product. This is good enough.
Seems as though this app still needs a ton of work. I have two simple variants for each of my products (2 size options). I can't bundle 4 products because apparently this creates too many variants. I attempted to go around this by just allowing the customer to select the size on the first product, but that doesn't work either.
Hi, thanks so much for your feedback on the Shopify Bundles app! We are always evaluating new feature requests for our roadmap and will certainly consider this for the future.
Could be great..
My number 1 issue is shopifys limit on variants. Ill have to create multiple listings of the same product to list every possible bundle combination. I do wish there was a way to port over COGs, include a discount and compare at price, when setting up a bundle. However, the easiest solution to including a discount is downloading the listing csv , adjust the pricing there and reupload.
If you have an inventory location that does not allow sales, this bundle app will sell inventory from this location.
Trying out Shopify Bundles with Dawn 15.2.0. The app generally does what it claims to do, however, with at least one key issue.
The product page for the bundle doesn't reveal what's included in the bundle. Is this possibly a Dawn theme oversight? Adding the bundle to the cart also doesn't show the bundled products. It's only until you checkout that the buyer sees the individual products included in the bundle.
This seems pretty odd, given that a user would want to know, up front, what products are in the bundle. Of course, I can manually create a bullet listing of the products in the bundle description, but that is onerous and doesn't scale. In addition, a static bullet list can easily become stale/inaccurate if the product mix in the bundle is changed.
From my testing, one way to show the products contained in the bundle, on the product page, is if each product has 2+ variants. But, my products don't have any variants, so the included products don't show up.
Let me be clear, you cannot assign a custom shipping profile to a bundle created by this app! WTF??? so let's say you create a bundle and want to offer free shipping, forget it.
Serious issues, avoid..wasted days
I really want to like this. In fact, it was so close to solving my issue of inventory management of a multi pack drawing from the same inventory as a single pack. However, it doesn't work with any subscription apps. If they can fix that problem, it would be a great update.
Everything is ok, except the fact that you can't enable the sales channels like google, facebook, Instagram.. This makes the plugins useless
