this app doesn't deserve 1 star. I installed the app and went through the procedure to set it up and it said "set up complete" but then I received a notification saying "this app needs attention" so I went back to look and see what wasn't completed and by that time I get an email stating that I won't be able to sell my products on Pinterest unless I do an appeal and I only have 3 chances to do an appeal so therefore I'm just going to delete this app.

I don't recommend this app. Despite having detailed and clear policies, it won't let me set up my shop.

For years, being connected to Pinterest was a great option for my business. Something on the back-end changed in 2023 and now I am stuck in an endless cycle of Pinterest telling me my website isn't meeting their guidelines, me appealing, them discovering that it DOES meet their guidelines and resolving. . . then the next month it starts all over again. Their customer service is cryptic and unhelpful, a total waste of time. I've talked to other folks in my industry who have run into the same issue and gave up long before me. I'll be uninstalling this app to disconnect my website to free myself from this perpetual headache. Pinterest, what happened to you?

As an OG pinner (started back in 2010 with millions of views on my personal brand page), I am so frustrated and disappointed with the lack of customer service. It's almost as if they're all back there just laughing and smirking and joking at each help request that comes in. They respond with canned, repeated messages looping you back through the vortex of pretty but unhelpful support pages. Questions unanswered, promises to follow up left broken, yet new emails with shiny objects - it's like a toxic relationship you can't get out of. From trying to reconnect a shopify catalog (that mysteriously, without notice disconnected and a link to nowhere) to trying to get more than just the spinning button in response to affiliate links not saving - it's a general cluster of glitches, wasted time, & disappointment.

Hello,

Our business is very important to us, and we strive to improve every day, when Pinterest removed our verified merchant verification, it was a big surprise, since we have several years on their platform as a verified merchant, the first notice we received as an alert was that we had several pop-ups on our website, and we solved the problem immediately, in the second warning it said that the website did not meet the minimum quality requirements.

We talked to the expert team at Shopify and they reviewed our website, audited everything against Pinterest guidelines, and they determined that every Pinterest policy was being followed on our website.

The importance of this whole process is that Pinterest must provide merchants with the exact problem to solve it, where the error is and how we can improve it, the emails we have received is a copy and paste from the same Pinterest pages, we do not know if this is being monitored, but the customer experience is not is the best. We have also decided to invest in advertising and we want our Pinterest account to be verified again without any problem, so we can continue to improve as a company, to provide the best service to the entire Pinterest community.

We look forward to a prompt response to clarify this inconvenience.

This app isn't amazing. Instead of doing the basic which is synching the products and store, It only connects it if you open ads. So it is based on 100% paid and does nothing to connect the rest.

This app used to work, then it just stopped....Doesnt connect anymore I figured they got rid of the app until I saw it listed here. Dont bother..
***Update- have been with pinterest for about 3 years- just got booted for not meeting merchant requirements- yet they dont tell you out of my 3000 products what products dont meet their requirements. Moving on and forgetting pinterest....just gave it 1 star for lack of concern when it comes to helping one of their long term merchants. Skip the aggrevation if you can. Better off creating a pinterest acct and pinning your products to your profile for your business.

I received most consistent traffic to my shop. Also, the initial promotional gift was nice. I didn't know how much influence Pinterest has on shoppers.

UPDATE: Merchant Support has been extremely disappointing. I loved the Pinterest sales channel until now...

Instead of communicating to fix something minor on your site before a deadline, they remove your merchant status 1st! This makes you look fraudulent to your Pin followers and anywhere your Pin profile has been shared. It literally took 2 mins to change what they wanted but it took 3 support agents and 2 days for someone to state exactly what was needed instead of being told to "read the guidelines." Received an email that the merchant status was restored but, our catalog feed doesn't load to Pinterest even though it hasn't been altered on our side in 2 yrs. The shopify app states the feed is active and connected to pinterest but the pinterest biz page says error-no ingestion for over a week now with no steps provided to resolve. The support agent repeated "read the guidelines," there's an issue with the feed and to make (unstated) changes. They gave no exact details of what to fix. Then we received another email: "Please complete any outstanding steps, if any, so you can submit your application to the Verified Merchant Program" but the link only goes to to the pinterest home page! They make you play a mystery game of "what will fix the mystery issue?"

I guess I'm expecting support to want to help resolve but it comes off as dismissive.

These people are INSANE! I added 100% organic and natural balms and salves and every couple days I get an email stating my web site no longer meets Pinterest. Then a couple days later I get an email stating it was an error and they apologize, then a couple days later yet another email stating my site stinks and they want nothing to do with it. We I want NOTHING to do with Pinterest anymore. App deleted!
